Brigada Eskwela has been a tradition of volunteerism and bayanihan between the schools, the community and the government. This year’s Schools Division of Davao Occidental’s Division Wide Brigada Eskwela kick-off ceremony with the theme “Bayanihan para sa matatag na paaralan” was held at the newly relocated Tubalan Elementary School, Tubalan, Malita Davao Occidental.
The ceremony was graced by the Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Rommel R. Jandayan CESO VI; Public School District Supervisors; SGOD Chief Jesus Q. Lascuna Jr.; MDRRMO Malita headed by Mr. Marlou Ompod; Force Commander of 1’st Davao Occidental Provincial Mobile Force Company, PLTCOL De Quincio R. Pante; BFP Malita, FINSP Sheffhar S. Lajarani; 73’rd IB Battalion Commander LTCOL Jaicris Jan P. Mendoza INF (GSC) PA; Coast Guard Department represented by CG Edmond Fernando, PNP Malita, under the leadership of PLTCOL Exzur B. Relatado; DENR-PENRO Chief Technical Services Division Mr. Redentor G. Magno; Provincial Engineer, Engr. Eddie Pascua; Private stakeholders, San Miguel Power Plant Corporation led by Engr. Diosdado Ababa Jr. Technical Services Dept. and Col. Jessie Jovette Cerbo Security Consultant; Tagum Cooperative headed by Miss Liezel D. Calvo Malita Branch Manager; Barangay Tubalan Officials, Tubalan Elementary School and Tubalan Comprehensive High School Teachers, Parents and Students. Also present in the ceremony were the representatives of our Provincial Government. One of the highlights was the ground breaking of the school buildings of the newly relocated Tubalan Elementary School with which the school site was donated by the good Governor Atty. Franklin P. Bautista.
