Brief Description

The Provincial Engineer’s Office of Davao Occidental is the instrumentality of the province, where the Engineer and Operators are giving you the most efficient work.

Mission

We build dreams as we are committed to provide and managed quality infrastructure facilities and services responsive to the needs of the populace and actively carry out the implementation of the Province of Davao Occidental Infrastructure Development Programs and Projects geared towards improving the quality of life.

Mandate

The Provincial Engineer's Office is mandated to undertake (a) Pre-detailed Engineering works related to reads, bridges, flood controls, sea walls and other public works, and (b) project construction supervision, maintenance, rehabilitation, improvement of both vertical and horizontal infrastructure implemented by the Local Government Unit pursuant to Republic Act No. 7160, Section 477 - The Local Government Code.

Objectives

1. Provide the necessary surveying services in the planning, programming and implementation of all provincial infrastructure projects.

2. Plan and program all other roads and bridges that will be undertaken by the province.

3. Construct and/or improve feeder road projects and implement such other provincial infrastructure projects. Plan, program and supervise provincial work projects and assist in the planning and programming of public works projects to be undertaken by some municipal government and other agencies.

4. Ensure the completion of projects according to approved plans and specifications.

5. Install a functioning maintenance and supply system for the provincial equipment pool that will result in a deadline rate for provincial equipment that will not exceed 25% and insure the provincial of necessary equipment support in the implementation and maintenance of roads and other infrastructure projects management.

6. Provide engineering services to the province and its component unit as well as to the Barangay including investigation and surveys, and engineering designs, feasibility studies and project management.
