The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in Region XI thru the initiative of Provincial Head Ms. Joy Banlasan, spearheaded the MSMEs Week Celebration from August 3-7, 2022 at Abreeza Mall, Davao City. On August 5, the province of Davao Occidental was the main highlight where products and wearables made and produced by the 5 municipalities of Davao Occidental were showcased.
The Lumad-Cultural Finale Show was the highlight of the night. The tourism videos of the 5 municipalities along with the video message of Governor Franklin P. Bautista expressing his support to the MSMEs and his proud declaration of what Davao Occidental and its Indigenous People have contributed to arts and culture were one of the highlights of the show. In the same manner, Vice Governor Lorna Bautista-Bandigan rendered her unfaltering support especially to the participants who made the Lumad-Cultural Show a success.
Also, personalities who graced the event were Bianca Ricci Bautista-Navarra, executive assistant of the Governor; FL Jean S. Bautista of Malita; Marivic Hubac, executive assistant of the Vice Governor; Vice Mayor of Malita Estafanie Bautista-Dumama and Malita Municipal Councilor Benjamin Bautista III.
To note, this event was a success through the efforts and collaboration of the 5 municipalities of the province of Davao Occidental; Municipality of Sta. Maria, Municipality of Malita, Municipality of Don Marcelino, Municipality of Jose Abad Santos and Municipality of Saranggani (Balot Island).
