Mt. Calvary is a 200-step shrine from bottom to top. It is a pilgrimage site for the Catholic devotees ideal for Station of Cross Activities. Its construction was inspired from a dream of one of the Mayor’s daughter.
Devotees knelt from bottom to top for prayers and petition that their children can be successful in their chosen career and other intentions. It was originally owned by Asuncion Matondo but then sold to Dr. Mark Edward Anthony A. Maruya.
It continues to strengthen the catholic faith among devotees and is considered to be a unique place for pilgrimage and adoration of catholic devotees coming from various places.
