Mission

The Provincial Veterinary Office of Davao occidental will safeguard the province from the entry of infectious, communicable and zoonotic diseases for the betterment of the welfare of animal and human health.

 

To render veterinary assistance to farmer-clientele, corporate farm of cluster organization with equal fervor regardless of their status in life which is magnanimous in public service

Vision

The Provincial Veterinary Office of Davao occidental aims to augment family income through increased livestock & poultry production; protect and improve the health status of livestock and poultry meat and eggs which are wholesome, sound, safe, and fit for human consumption which is our  mandate

Mandate (Article 19 of R.A. 7160 Sec. 489)

The Provincial Veterinary Office is mandated to take charge the day to day operation and shall be responsible for the effective delivery of basic veterinary services.
The office leads the frontline of veterinary related activities such as: in the outbreak of highly contagious and deadly animal diseases with economic and public health importance and in situations resulting in the depletion of animals for work and human consumption, particularly those arising from and in the aftermath of man-made and natural calamities.

Service Pledge

Promote and observe the welfare of animals for the protection and preservation of animal species.

Create linkage with LGUs, Government Agencies, NGOs, and farmer groups to effectively cascade interventions to stakeholders and clients who are at the receiving end of the services.

Provide technical assistance to farmers by introducing practices and technologies that are deemed important in the survival of the industry.

Attend to all applicants or requesting parties who are within the premises of the office prior to the end of official working hours and during lunch break.
