Another history in the making for the Province of Davao Occidental as it breaks ground for the Davao Occidental District Jail, which is to be built in Barangay Lacaron, Municipality of Malita.
Present during the ceremonial groundbreaking and the capsule laying is Governor Atty. Franklin P. Bautista, who also rendered his congratulatory message. Also in attendance is Regional Director of the Jail Bureau, JCSUPT Jolly C. Taguiam, Jr., District Jail Warden of DODJ, JSINSP Reynaldo C. Putong, Sr., DILG Provincial Director, Ms. Cristina D. Amoy and Rev. Fr. Rogelio Albite, DCD, among others.
This is the first provincial jail for Davao Occidental and will help ease congestion in municipal facilities as well as limit the transportation of inmates to another facility.
