Today, women from the Province’s Municipalities, Municipality of Sta. Maria, Malita, Don Marcelino, Jose Abad Santos and Sarangani painted the ABC Gymnasium Malita Violet showing women empowerment.
Women’s Month is a global celebration celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of all women. It is in recognition of women’s contributions, raising awareness about gender equality and women’s rights and to inspire, empower them into our society.
We celebrate the progress that has been made towards the narratives of toxic feminism and also to acknowledge the works that still need to be done. It is to highlight the importance of women’s voices, experiences and perspectives in shaping a more just and equitable world for all.
As we commemorate all the women in our Province, their exceptional participation and outstanding contribution in building our province towards progress. We are joined by our Hon. Vice Governor Lorna B. Bandigan, she gracefully delivered her inspirational talk fostering the theme: We for gender equality; Inclusive Society. “Lipunang Patas sa Bagong Pilipinas, Kakayahan ng Kababaihan Patutunayan”. She profoundly gave her encouragement to continue thriving and upholding women’s rights and social involvement.
Recognizing our women’s achievements in different sectors has been conferred from Education, Medical, Political, Youth and Business field. A symposium then follows, imparted by Miss Sittie Soraya Dataya, RSWSocial Welfare Officer II DSWD-XI Home for Girls and Women. Sharing her expertise in Women’s Rights. She talks about the extent of the Laws protecting women.
May all women tap into their shoulders in any way revolutionizing change in their communities and throughout their circles.
