Davao Occidental launches community shelter program

The Provincial Government has officially launched the Community Pabahay sa Barangay (CPB) Shelter Program with the theme “Balay Aron Pamilya Mahamugaway”.

The launching and groundbreaking ceremony of the shelter program was simultaneously held in Barangay Mana in the municipality of Malita and Barangay Ogpao in Sta. Maria, Davao Occidental.

The evaluation of the beneficiaries for the housing units was meticulously picked by the Provincial Social Welfate and Development Office to ensure that they are worthy of the slots.

The 73rd Infantry Battalion (73IB) of the Philippine Army, volunteers from the different government agencies and the community members will join forces to build and construct the housing units.

Governor Claude Bautista raised the importance of the barangay leaders in this community shelter program, as the local chief executive asked for their support on the said project.
Magtinabangay kita aron makuha gikan sa kawad-on ang Davao Occidental. Nahibal-an nimo ang imong mga tawo. Ania ra ako aron pagsuporta kanimo. Suportahi ako sa akong mga programa, suportahan ko usab ikaw.”The Governor also said that it’s time to end the armed conflict and violence in the mountains.

Meanwhile, Lt. Col. Ronaldo Valdez, 73rd IB commander, expressed his gratitude towards the governor, saying, the program will help in keeping peace in the community.
Sa panahon ngayon, ang mga programa ang magpapatatag sa kapayapaan na mayroon ang lugar. Ito ang solusyon sa kahirapan, hindi ang pagsanib sa armadong kilusan.
